This Craftsman 43178 1/4" drive thumb wheel quick release ratchet is in good working condition. I took the ratchet apart to clean and lubricate it. I used SuperLube. The gear and pawl are in good condition with no stripped teeth. The friction ball works well. I put some oil on it and depressed it so the oil would get behind the ball and lubricate the internals.
