1948 Mercury Woody formerly of the renowned Nick Alexander collection. Owned by the collection from 1996 until 2009 when he collection was sold by RM in Monterey. Largely original with a sympathetic restoration while owned by Nick.Original wood was retained and restored by Alexander. 1948 Mercury Woodies are very rare, but this on is one of the very few "Birdseye" examples sporting many pieces of Birdseye maple.
