This unit is unopened, and in the original factory sealed package. The switch, if properly installed, locks a transmission shifter in "Park" when the foot switch is depressed (EVEN IF THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING). It is noted on the instructions that it is for 1999-2005 Impala and 2006 Malibu and Monte Carlo Chevrolet cars. We do not know the date the part was manufactured, so are not sure how many Malibu or Monte Carlo model years after '06 that it is compatible with. Please research compatibility B...
