This valve spring compressor works on Chevies with ball stud rocker arms. Bring the piston up to TDC, screw in the adapter to shop air, which keeps the valves closed against their seats & then use this tool to compress the valve spring so you can change springs or retainers or oil seals or just put a pin through the rocker stud to keep it from backing out!
