Here is a push in retainer clip (sometimes called Christmas tree fastener) that replaces GM # 10121502, Ford # 390018-S, and Chrysler part numbers 6033082 and 6033840. Its 5/16" stem diameter works in a 1/4" hole, the head diameter is 11/16", and the stem length is 1-1/16".
